Fullerton First United Methodist Church Preschool is committed to support families with young children in our community by providing learning experiences for each child in preparation for early success and school readiness in a safe, secure and caring environment. We strive to develop literacy skills as well as provide experiences that enrich each child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative abilities.
Our philosophy of children's education is:
■ To provide an atmosphere conducive to the social, physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of each child’s development.
■ To challenge every child to achieve his or her full potential in an environment that fosters free choice learning experiences.
■ To develop self-confidence through play and creative experiences.
■ To let each child progress at his or her own rate of development.
■ To provide opportunities for children to express themselves through the use of creative materials, music, art, books, language and play.
■ To help children become more aware of God’s world.
Since 1968, FFUMC Preschool has provided opportunities for children to develop socially, academically, and spiritually. We offer a play-based, developmental program for children ages 2 through 6. Our qualified teachers help children use play to acquire skills and knowledge they need to be competent and capable in the world around them. We hope you'll select us to be partners in your child's education.
What is "Parent Participation"?
Part of our educational philosophy is to include the adults in a child's household in the school atmosphere. This helps a student to connect their "home world" with their "school world" and allows parents to better understand what their children are experiencing.
Each month, a parent or guardian will sign up to provide a nutritious snack. On that day, your preschooler will be the "leader" and help with the activities for the day.
